Pune-based Force Motors on Wednesday unveiled a new-generation platform that has been simultaneously designed and developed for both internal combustion engines and electric drives.

Codenamed T1N, the platform will roll out 12-18 seater vehicles, Prasun Firodia, MD of Force Motors, told The Telegraph.

The company has invested around Rs 1,000 crore in this platform that has been developed over the last four years.

A successor to the company’s Traveller, T1N will have a number of variants, a 9-10 seater, a 12-seater and an-18 seater.

When asked if the Traveller will be discontinued, Firodia said: “The Traveller is a market leader in its segment. We have no plans to discontinue it. The T1N will cater to the more high-end segments such as hospitality and premium tour and travel.”
