Prime Minister Imran Khan has been asked to appear in Peshawar High Court on December 13 in a case filed over his alleged relation with US national Sita White.
Inamullah Khan, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief’s rival candidate in July 25 elections from Bannu constituency, had filed a writ petition saying Imran had a daughter with Sita White, named Tyrian White, which he had not mentioned in his nomination papers and thus flouted Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
Inamullah, of the Justice Democratic Party, claimed that a Los Angeles court has ruled that the cricketer-turned-politician was the legal father of the four-year-old southern California girl. “Imran Khan is the father of the child,” superior court commissioner Anthony Jones had said in a brief hearing in the US court, according to the petitioner.
During the election, the returning officer of Bannu had accepted Imran’s nomination papers after rejecting Inamullah’s objection.
