From the moment Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 US Presidential election looked certain, Elon Musk could not contain himself and saw a "fantastic" future ahead.
During his victory speech in Florida, Donald Trump heaped praises on the world's richest man by calling Musk a "new star" and a "super genius".
Trump said: "Let me tell you, we have a new star. A star is born - Elon!" As the crowd's cheers intensified at Musk's mention, Trump added, "He's an amazing guy."

Musk wrote: "America is a nation of builders. Soon, you will be free to build." He has currently pinned this particular tweet on his timeline.
Future gonna be fantastic
Musk's SpaceX launched the Starship rocket on October 13. In a world-first, the booster of "the world’s most powerful launch vehicle" was caught on its return to the launch pad. In the wake of Trump's win, Musk shared a photo of Starship and wrote: "The future is gonna be fantastic."
Trump lauded SpaceX and Starship during his victory speech: "He [Elon] sent the rocket up two weeks ago. I saw that rocket, I saw it coming down. When it left it was beautiful, shiny [and] white. When it came down, it didn't look so pretty. It was going 10,000 miles an hour, and it was burning like hell."
"Only Elon can do this," Trump added.
Clear mandate for change
As Trump crossed the 270 majority mark in terms of electoral votes, Musk tweeted: "The people of America gave @realDonaldTrump a crystal clear mandate for change tonight."
Record usage of X amid Trump's win
The whole world was on pins and needles while millions of Americans decided Kamala Harris and Donald Trump's fate. On this occasion, Musk claimed record usage of X.
"Record usage of this platform!!" Musk added with stats.

In a sarcastic post, Musk shared a photo of himself holding a sink inside the White House. He wrote, "Let that sink in."

They tried to kill Donald Trump
Musk recalled his interview with Tucker Carlson Network. In an answer to the kind of pressure he faced to shut down X, Musk had said that "multiple democrats" tried to imprison him and "take away government contract from my companies".
Retweeting the interview, Musk wrote, "Sure it was a lot of pressure, but it pales by comparison with President @realDonaldTrump, who they tried to kill twice, bankrupt and imprison for eternity."
