The Afghan forces on Wednesday impeded a Taliban attack.

The government said that it has “suffered casualties and fled the Heart area,” said the Defence ministry.

Salma dam is one the largest dams in Afghanistan and provides irrigation water and electricity to thousands, reported ANI.

The dam has been one of the most expensive infra investment that India partook.

Last month, there was an attack in the nearby area and it survived.
