Trinamul Congress leader Anubrata Mondal has been sent to Tihar jail till April 3 in connection to the West Bengal cattle-smuggling case.

Mondal will not be allowed to carry his medicines and other belongings inside the Tihar jail. However, the ED has assured that Mondal will be provided with medical assistance inside the jail premises. Earlier, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court sent Mondal's bodyguard Saigal Hossain and his chartered accountant Manish Kothari to the Tihar jail.

Another prime suspect in the cattle-smuggling case, Enamul Haque was also given a jail sentence by the court.
