The Endeavour Global School in Siliguri on Wednesday organised a plantation drive at Surya Sen Park of the town to celebrate Van Mahotsav.
Ranjan Sarkar, the deputy mayor, Shrinivas Patil, the SDO of Siliguri and SW Bhutia, the commissioner of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, were present at the event.

The dignitaries addressed the students at the programme and elaborated on the need for conservation of nature and environment.
In future, the school intends to join hands with the civic body in its endeavours to promote a safe, clean and plastic free Siliguri, said representatives of the educational institution.
