A week after violence in Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas left three ED officers injured from a mob attack, Bengal police make their first arrest.

Early Friday morning, Nazat police arrested two suspects – Mehebur Mollah and Sukamal Sardar – for their alleged involvement in the attacks on the central agency officials, CRPF jawans and media personnel on January 5 when the agency raided the house of Trinamul Congress leader Shahjahan Sheikh for conducting a search operation in connection with the ration distribution scam.
