The builders who will take part include Belani, Fortune Realty, Godrej Properties, Magnolia, Navita, Pioneer, Sanhita, The Soul, Merlin and Ambuja Neotia, the organisers said.

“Properties priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 2 crore will be on offer. But the majority will be in the below-Rs 1 crore budget in the middle and lower income group brackets,” said Sushil Mohta, chairman of Merlin Group.

The organisers said such fairs presented a buyer with the opportunity of knowing the various projects on offer and also gave them a chance to compare the prices and facilities.

“What would have taken two months if the buyer had to visit the offices of the builders can be finished in only one or two days,” the organisers said.

The fair, to be held in the open space at City Centre II, will remain open from 2pm to 8pm.

There is no registration fee, the organiser said.

There will be facility for visitors to book properties at the fair.

“Anyone can pay a token money and block a property. He or she can visit the property later. There were several bookings in last year’s fair,” the organisers said.

Actress Isha Saha will be present at the inauguration on Friday. Actress Raima Sen will hand over trophies and certificates to participating real estate companies on Sunday evening.

On all three days, there will lucky draws for visitors enquiring at the stalls.

“The winners will get attractive prizes,” another organiser said.

Water supply line

The Calcutta Municipal Corporation will repair the water supply line along stretches of the western flank of Diamond Harbour Road in Behala and Thakurpukur. The work will cost about Rs 3.65lakh and take over a month to be completed.
