Rakesh Kumar, a hearing-impaired youth, shows a drawing of Rabindranath Tagore on the bard’s 159th birth anniversary on Friday.
The 24-year-old has been a boarder at Bodhana, a home for special children under the Juvenile Justice Act, at Rajarhat for the past 11 years. The shelter is also home to 99 other boys.
Since the lockdown began, Rakesh spends most of his time sketching. Earlier, he would work at the handloom under the supervision of a teacher who is now unable to travel to the home.
