The fair brings state tourism boards, big and small travel operators and hoteliers on one platform.

From choosing a destination to booking tickets, hotel and all other logistics, one can settle everything under one roof at the festival.

The response to the fair last year was enthusiastic. Over 8,000 people visited with queues snaking all the way to the stadium entrance by afternoon.

The organisers are hopeful that the footfall will go well past 10,000 this year.

“From customised plans for lesser-known places to budget packages for dream destinations, visitors can expect several options,” an organiser said.

Top travel companies such as Cox and Kings, SOTC and Thomas Cook are participating in the fair, offering a choice of international destinations. There will be spot-booking offers, in case someone finds a tour plan hard to resist. Local tour operators will also have a sizeable presence at the venue, the organiser said.

“We are flooded with queries — both domestic and abroad. Some are looking for a river cruise, another group wants an adventure-filled trip while some others are looking for the serenity of a tea garden,” said an operator.

The partner states for the 11th edition of the event are Uttarakhand, Assam and Telangana.

There will be representations from Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Gujarat, Odisha, Kerala, Punjab, Lakshadweep, Delhi and Jharkhand.

The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation and Indian Association of Tour Operators are also partnering the fair.
