Large-scale protests against the CAA and the NRC are being held on campuses across Gujarat but media is hardly reporting them, a law student from the western state said on Tuesday.

Minni Baghela, who is pursuing master’s in law at MN Law College in Ahmedabad, said students graduating from CEPT University in Ahmedabad had worn black armbands at the convocation on Saturday to protest the amended citizenship regime

“Gujarat is called the laboratory of Hindutva. But there are so many students, not belonging to the minority community… who are participating in the protests against the CAA and the NRC,” said Minni, who attended the women’s conference organised by All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangathan.
