The J.N. Chandra Anuprerna Scholarship, named to signify "inspiration," provides financial aid to academically bright students from underprivileged backgrounds. Each recipient received a scholarship totaling Rs. 1,20,000, disbursed in monthly instalments of Rs. 5000 over two years. This sustained support aims to ensure uninterrupted education for these young achievers.

Shri Abhijit Laha highlighted the programme's broader scope: “The J.N. Chandra Anuprerna Programme was instituted to recognize and support meritorious students from humble backgrounds, enabling them to pursue their education without hindrance. To date, we have awarded this scholarship to 157 students, many of whom are now pursuing professional degrees in medicine, engineering, and other fields. Our programme goes beyond financial aid, offering behavioural, life skills training, and career counselling to equip these young minds for future challenges.”

This year's scholarship recipients come from diverse districts of West Bengal, each with a unique story of resilience and ambition. Among them are Ananya Dey from Baruipur, whose father is a vegetable vendor; Arnab Das from Dum Dum Jessore Road, whose mother is a tea seller and father unemployed; Sangita Das from Kolkata, daughter of a mason and home tailor; and Tamanna Sultana from Murshidabad, daughter of a shopkeeper. These young achievers exemplify the spirit of the J.N. Chandra Anuprerna Scholarship, overcoming significant challenges to pursue their dreams.

The P.C. Chandra Group, a leading business conglomerate from East India, began with the jewellery trade and has since diversified into various sectors including chemicals, plastics, rubber plantations, software development, construction, housing, exports, and hospitality. The Group is renowned for its commitment to social responsibility, undertaking various CSR initiatives such as the J.L. Chandra Merit Scholarship, Gyandhara knowledge centres, Neem Banani for environmental promotion, and the #StopTheDrop water conservation campaign.

This year's J.N. Chandra Anuprerna Scholarship Programme not only celebrated the achievements of its recipients but also reinforced the P.C. Chandra Group's dedication to empowering future generations through education and support.
