More than 11,000 students cast their votes in the Jadavpur University campus polls by 7pm on Wednesday. The turnout was less than 10,000 the last time JU students had voted, in 2017. This year, the presence of candidates from ABVP, the students’ wing of the RSS, in engineering, arts and science has added a new dimension to the polls. The results will be announced on Thursday, dean of students Rajat Ray said.
