A day after a division bench headed by Justice Soumen Sen declined to hear appeals against the orders passed by Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay in cases related to alleged irregularities in hiring primary school teachers, a division bench headed by Justice Tapobrata Chakrabarty was assigned the task on Thursday.

A lawyer for the candidates declared eligible in the 2014 TET but denied jobs over alleged irregularities moved the division bench headed by Justice Chakrabarty on Wednesday and pleaded for an early hearing.

Justice Chakrabarty said appeals would be heard after the bench received documents from the court of the bench headed by Justice Sen.

The change followed conflicting orders by the bench of Justice Gangopadhyay and the one headed by Justice Sen last week.
