The seminar on career counselling in Siliguri on Friday

A national seminar on career counselling titled “Empowering Graduates for Tomorrow’s Careers” was held on Friday at Ramkinkar Hall in Siliguri.

The seminar was jointly organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cells (IQACs) of Siliguri College of Commerce and Munshi Premchand Mahavidyalaya, another college located off Sevoke Road inthe city.

“Experts, including Suman Bhattacharya, the director of the Kareer School and head of Next-Gen Learning at KIIT University, and Priyadarshi Biswal, the dean of Career Advisory Services at KIIT University, addressed the gathering. Their insights, inspired by the vision of KIIT founder Achyuta Samanta, provided practical guidance on career planning and professional growth,” said Nitai Saha, an associate professor and head of the department of English at the MunshiPremchand Mahavidyalaya.

The seminar, he said, was organised to equip students with skills and strategies for a dynamic job market.

Arun Sarkar, president of the governing body of Siliguri College of Commerce, and Ranjan Sarkar, the college’s principal, were present at the programme.

“The seminar engaged in interactive sessions that provided actionable insights into career strategies and opportunities,” said a student.
