Chief minister Mamata Banerjee, while taking a stroll along Birch Hill Road in Darjeeling town on Thursday morning, walked into a roadside stall and joined some local women there to make vegetable momos.
It was around 9.30am when Mamata, who was walking along the road near the upper entrance of Darjeeling Government College, spotted the stall.
“Dekhi ami pari ki na (Let me give it a try),” said the chief minister as joined the group of women to make the popular Tibetan dumplings.
After some time, she returned to Richmond Hill, where she had been staying during her current trip to the hill town since March 27. Later in the day, she left for Bagdogra and took a flight to Calcutta.
