Sources said Shamim Akhtar alias Jamal, in his early thirties, worked in a water supply project at Karmali Chowk area in Patna. He was a resident of Kawamari village.

His family members have filed a police complaint and suspect that Rahaman has been abducted by a local contractor, who reportedly is also a BJP leader. “We suspect that he has been abducted as he went to the contractor to get the due wages.
