A dancer was called to a hotel room off Sarat Bose Road for a meeting, where she was allegedly sedated and robbed of her jewellery and phones, which she discovered the next morning.
Police arrested three persons on Tuesday from a hotel on Jessore Road where they were “planning their next operation”. They are from a “serial heist gang” that duped young dancers in the past, the police said.
“The woman went to a meeting on December 2 with one of the arrested persons, who introduced himself as a representative of an event management firm. After half an hour, another person joined them and her food and drink were allegedly spiked. The woman fell unconscious,” said an officer of Ballygunge police station.
The next morning, the woman, who hails from Nadia, realised that she had been robbed of her two phones, three gold chains and five rings missing.
The police checked the CCTV footage of the hotel and the nearby areas.
“We could trace the app cab in which they left,” police said.
