The 2020 ICSE exams will start on February 27 and the ISC on February 3, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations announced on Wednesday.
The timetable for both exams were uploaded on the council’s careers portal, which can be accessed by school principals.
The ICSE (Class X) exams will start with English paper 1, and end with biology (science paper 3) on March 30.
The ISC (Class XII) exams will start with home science (paper 2, planning session) practicals.
The theory papers for ISC will start with accounts on February 11.
The ISC will end with art-5 on March 31.
The timetable was posted on Wednesday afternoon on the careers portal and some of the schools in the city downloaded it and circulated among department heads.
Students were told about the timetable in some institutions in the city where classes were on when the council made the announcement.
“We have uploaded the timetable on our school noticeboard and alerted students about it,” Nabarun Dey, the principal of Central Modern School, said.
Some of the teachers in the school said there was a substantial gap between papers this time and that it would help students with their revision.
