The ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) results will be published at 11am on Monday, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations announced on Sunday evening.

About 2,45,000 students from across the country wrote the ICSE exams and about 1,00,000 candidates the ISC papers this year.

In Bengal, there are about 50,000 ICSE examinees and about 27,000 ISC examinees.

“The CISCE — Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations — will declare the results of ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) Year 2024 Examinations on May 6, 2024, at 11am,” Joseph Emmanuel, the new chief executive and secretary of the CISCE said in a release sent to school principals.

The ICSE 2024 exams were held from February 21 to March 28.

The ISC 2024 exams were conducted from February 12 to April 4.

In ISC, the chemistry and psychology tests were called off at the last moment and held on a later date.

The results will also be available on the Careers portal for schools to access and the DigiLocker portal.

On Saturday, because of fake circulars being circulated, thousands of students kept checking the council website in the hope of accessing their results.

The council has said that candidates or school heads can apply for a “recheck of results”.

“The recheck module will be activated after the declaration of results on May 6, 2024, and will be available till May 10, 2024. No further request for recheck of results of the ICSE/ISC Examination Year 2024 will be entertained thereafter,” said the release.

The results of the recheck will be declared on the council’s website, within four weeks of receiving the applications.

“Three things will be checked during the recheck — whether there was any totalling error, whether any answer was unmarked and whether there was any transcription error,” a council official said.

The council has also said that if any candidate is not satisfied with the recheck result, they will be permitted to apply for re-evaluation of the answer script.

The school heads can also apply for re-evaluation of answer scripts of students of the institutions.

Candidates willing to improve marks have the option of appearing for an improvement test in up to two subjects, the council said.

The improvement exams will be held in July 2024.
