The results of the ICSE and ISC examinations will be declared on May 7, about a week before they were announced last year.
The results of both exams will be declared online at 3pm, said a statement issued by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, which conducts the tests.
The examinees can know their results from the council’s websites — `www.cisce.org` and `www.results.cisce.org` — and also through text messages.
After logging into a website, an examinee will have to click the link “Results 2019” and select “ICSE” or “ISC” as applicable from the “Course” option.
The next step is to enter the student’s unique ID, index number and the captcha shown on the screen.
To get the result through a text message, an examinee needs to key in “ISC” or “ICSE” and then type her or his seven-digit ID.
The message has to be sent to 09248082883 and the result will be texted back.
The schools can access the batch results through the council’s CAREERS portal. The principal’s login ID and password will be required for access.
For any clarification, a school can contact the council’s helpdesk at `ciscehelpdesk@orioninc.com` or call 022-67226106.
The mark sheets will reach the schools after the results are published.
“The dates for receiving the mark sheets from the schools will be declared on May 7 at the time of declaring the results,” said Gerry Arathoon, the chief executive and secretary of the council.
Around 38,000 students wrote the ICSE between February 22 and March 25. Around 29,000 examinees appeared in the ISC exams that continued from February 4 to March 25.
Any examinee who wants to recheck her or his result can apply online on the council’s website by May 13.
The candidates can also apply for rechecking their results through the CAREERS portal of the school.
