The beheaded body of a homemaker was found in a South 24-Parganas village on Saturday, her family alleging that she was raped and killed.
Police spotted the head a little away from the body in an agricultural field.

Her family has alleged that her husband had another wife. A relative said they suspect she was raped by her husband’s aide and murdered. A rape-and-murder case has been started. The husband is absconding.

Footballer Kouadio Mathieu N’Guessan, 24, fell off a Sealdah-bound train near Titagarh on Saturday and died in hospital later. He hailed from Bouake of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, a West African country.
