Four Bangladeshi nationals nabbed by Border Security Force in north Bengal

While three of them were handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) through flag meetings, one was handed over to the police

The Border Security Force (BSF) posted in north Bengal apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals during the past 24 hours from different locations close to the border.

While three of them were handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) through flag meetings, one was handed over to the police.

On Sunday, one Md A.L. Imran Rocky who was from the Rangpur district of Bangladesh, was intercepted by BSF in South Dinajpur as he allegedly tried to infiltrate India. He was carrying some Bangladeshi currency and a cell phone with him. Later, he was handed over to the BGB.

Md Dilvar Hussain from Naogaon in the neighbouring country was apprehended for illegally trying to enter India through South Dinajpur as well. The BSF later handed him to the Hili police station.

On Monday, Md Anarul Islam and Md Sapan Mian, both from Bogura district of Bangladesh, were nabbed by the BSF in Cooch Behar while allegedly illegally trying to enter Bangladesh from India. The duo, sources said, worked in Nepal and had planned to visit their families by illegally crossing the border. They were handed over to BGB through a flag meeting.

Indian 'smuggler'

BSF personnel posted in North Dinajpur nabbed an Indian, Saiul Haque of Balavita village under Islampur police station of the district, on Saturday when he was allegedly trying to smuggle cough syrup to Bangladesh.
