The judge is scheduled to hear this case on December 20.

According to documents submitted by the central agency in court earlier this year, Trinamul Congress national general secretary and party's MP Abhishek Banerjee — also chief minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew — is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Leaps and Bounds Private Limited.

"Let the court go through the report in detail first. The case will come up for hearing again on December 20," the judge decided.

During the hearing of the case on Tuesday, the ED counsel had informed the court that Abhishek, on behalf of Leaps and Bounds, had submitted a 5,500-page document on the company's financial transactions.

Moreover, Abhishek and his wife Rujira Narula Banerjee had made some depositions on the transactions.

The investigating agency had been scanning all the documents, the court was informed.

At this, the judge held that the delay in completing the investigation was helping the accused get bail.

The judge sought an updated investigation report by Thursday.

In response to Tuesday's order, the ED filed its interim report on Thursday.

The other central probe agency, the CBI, is also supposed to file its progress report of the case on the next date of hearing.
