CPM leaders trained guns at the BJP and the Trinamul Congress on Saturday at a protest meeting here against the CAA-NRC.

“The Centre is trying to divide people in the name of NRC and CAA. We should be alert or else they might even try to create rifts on the basis of language,” said the CPM’s Sujan Chakraborty.

“Those who are involved in the Saradha and Narada scams can never fight the BJP. It is because of the tacit understanding between Trinamul and the BJP that these scams were not properly probed.”
