The Covid Care Network (CCN) that was floated by doctors and members of the civil society in Calcutta on July 1 and comprised some cured patients decided to introduce a web consultation facility on the disease.
Anybody who needs such consultation can check the website www.medepal.com or use the MEDePAL app for registration.
The network was launched in Siliguri on July 8.
Kalyan Khan, a doctor at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in Siliguri, is the coordinator of the CCN here.
“We have come up with a new initiative where people having comorbidity can consult with doctors through video calls,” said Khan.
“They can check the availability of doctors and fix an appointment. At the scheduled time, the doctor concerned will communicate with him. We will have doctors from Calcutta, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Siliguri. Each patient will get six to 10 minutes for consultation,” added Khan.
