No casualty or injury has been reported.

Sources said bombs were lobbed at the house of Sanjay Biswas, the panchayat-level president of Trinamul in Pachagarh panchayat area under the Mathabhanga-I block. He has accused BJP for the attack.

Local BJP leaders, however, denied the charge andsaid the incident is thefallout of Trinamul’s inner rivalry.

The police said a probe was on.

Betting arrests

Two persons were arrested in Jalpaiguri on Tuesday for allegedly being involved in illegal betting during the ongoing IPL tournament.

Sources said Manik Saha and Gobinda Das, both residents of Netajipara in Dhupguri town, were nabbed from a grocery shop.

“They have been involved in the illegal act for quite some time,” said a source.

Police have recovered two cell phones and some cash from them.
