The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations on Friday issued a circular to chief examiners, chief co-examiners and conveners to ensure examiners assessing ISC answer scripts do not visit evaluation centres to submit marks or the answer scripts till further notice.
The examiners have been asked to keep the answer scripts after they finish evaluation.
The council had issued a circular on March 18 announcing that evaluation of ICSE and ISC answer scripts will be decentralised this year as a precaution against the spread of the coronavirus.
The March 18 circular had said that examiners would be allowed to evaluate answer scripts at home instead of sitting at a centralised location.
Friday’s decision to ask examiners not to submit the answer scripts followed requests from some schools where the examined scripts were to be kept. The schools did not want to store the answer scripts for security reasons.
The council urged examiners to ensure the security of the scripts.
