Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday repeated her demand for answers from the Narendra Modi government on the 2019 Pulwama attack.
She also referred to the recent comments by former army chief General Shankar Roychowdhury, who spoke to The Telegraph and echoed the views of former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik, who had blamed the Centre's lapses for the death of 40 CRPF jawans in the terror attack.
“Today, they are busy changing our history and our Constitution. They don’t answer any questions in the House, nor do they let it function. To avoid answering questions, they create encounters," she said.
"In the Pulwama attacks, the former Governor (Malik) has made some startling remarks. Even the ex-Army chief (General Roychowdhury) wants to know the truth behind the Pulwama incident. Why is the government silent on this? Wasn’t Pulwama an intelligence failure?” asked Mamata.
