Sustha Sachetanataye Kalindi in coordination with Woodlands Hospital organized a successfull vaccination camp on 16th June 2021 for the residents of Kalindi. 215 residents of Kalindi Flat Owners Association were administered Covishield vaccine along with people of surrounding areas.

The camp also reached out to Senior Citizens/Handicapped people of the Housing and vaccinated them at their residence. The elderly people were touched by this type of initiative as they were worried of not getting vaccinated due to age & movement restriction.

The group also inoculated the daily wage workers of the Housing who are economically not sound by vaccinating them free of cost.

Sujit Bose, Minister of West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services (Independent charge) graced the event with his presence and promised to provide Oxygen concentrator and Oxygen Cylinder for the residents of Kalindi.

The overall event was well coordinated by Woodlands and Sustha Sachetanataye Kalindi team who adhered to all the neccessary Covid protocols. The group provided the vaccines to the residents at subsidized rates and ensured complete safety at the Covid workplace.

The Woodlands Hospital team showed great commitment, agreeing to go door to door to vaccinate elderly people.

The group plans to organize similar camp for 2nd dose after 84 days. This is first in kind of any initiative taken by any group in one of the largest housing estate of Calcutta.

Overall the activity was well appreciated by the residents of the Housing as it was a much needed initiative of the moment.
