Ten IPS officers including Calcutta police commissioner Soumen Mitra, additional director general of police (correctional services) Peeyush Pandey and inspector general of police (north Bengal) Devendra Prakash Singh have been nominated for the chief minister’s medal for “outstanding service” and “commendable service” this year.

The medals will be conferred on the officers on August 15, a government notification issued on Tuesday said.
