The board of governors of IIM Calcutta on Wednesday named Subir Bhattacharya, the senior most teacher on the campus, the director in-charge.
Anju Seth, the first woman director of the B-school, resigned on Sunday.

Sources on the campus said Seth submitted her resignation to the board late Sunday night, referring to a breakdown of confidence between her and board chairman Shrikrishna Kulkarni.
According to a source, she alleged that Kulkarni ran a smear campaign against her with the support of the board.
Calls to Seth on Wednesday went unanswered. Kulkarni could not be reached either.
