Education minister Partha Chatterjee on Tuesday said the results of Madhyamik 2020 were not likely to be declared next month.
“The Madhyamik results are ready. But there is no point in declaring the results until the schools reopen,” Chatterjee said.
Once the results are out, examinees would want to get mark sheets. “But we can’t allow students to turn up at schools in the present situation. Once the results are out, students will also want to take the admission in Class XI … we can’t allow that, too,” he said.
The Madhyamik exams were held in February. The results are usually declared in the middle of May.
