A 65-year-old man riding a motorbike through the city-bound flank of Vidyasagar Setu died after a private bus hit the two-wheeler from behind on Tuesday morning.

Pillion rider Tapan Bose, 63, got injured.

Soumen Hutait, a resident of Jagachha in Howrah, was declared dead at SSKM Hospital.

Bose is being treated at the hospital. Both were wearing helmets.
