Buses for emergency teams in Calcutta

Each bus cannot ferry more than 20 persons to follow social distancing rules

The transport department has decided to run buses on a few routes between 8am and 8pm for people engaged in emergency work.

These buses will ply on these routes — Howrah station to Kamalgazi, Esplanade to Amtala, Howrah station to New Town, Dunlop to Ballygunge, Howrah station to Garia, and Joka to Barasat.

Each bus cannot ferry more than 20 persons to follow social distancing rules.

The department has also released a WhatsApp number (9830177000) where one can contact for movement of persons engaged in emergency duty across the city.
