North Dinajpur BSF arrest Bangladeshi minor for trying to enter homeland from India illegally

BSF sources said that during interrogation, the boy revealed he had infiltrated India three months back and had been working in Jammu & Kashmir as a mason

Troops of the 72nd battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) at Basatpur border outpost in North Dinajpur acted on a tip-off and nabbed a Bangladeshi minor reportedly trying to enter his country from India through the Nagar river on Tuesday

BSF sources said that during interrogation, the boy revealed he had infiltrated India three months back and had been working in Jammu & Kashmir as a mason.

The teenager was allegedly trying to reach Bangladesh with the help of two Indian touts when the BSF apprehended him.

He reached Kishanganj in Bihar by train from his workplace and from there by an SUV to North Dinajpur.

“The BSF found the SUV. Driver Hayat Ali was also intercepted,” said a source.

The duo were handed over to Karandighi police.
