  • ED arrests TMC youth leader Kuntal Ghosh in connection with the alleged primary school teachers recruitment scam
  • The agency arrested Ghosh after conducting searches at two of his apartments at New Town for nearly 22 hours
  • Ghosh was arrested early Saturday morning on grounds of non-cooperation with investigation
  • Ghosh was brought under agency scanner after Tapas Mondal, owner of a private B.Ed college who was perceived to be close to the now arrested former primary board president and TMC MLA Manik Bhattacharya, had alleged he had paid Rs 19.5 crore to Ghosh as proceeds from recruitment irregularities
  • Mondal alleged that Ghosh collected money from job aspirants by promising them TET qualification and that the sum total of money he collected may exceed Rs 100 crore
