Bengal reports 66 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

The state’s recovery rate is 98.91 per cent and mortality rate is 1.05 per cent

Bengal on Saturday reported 66 new Covid-19 infections, 75 recoveries and no deaths, resulting in a drop inactive cases by 34 to 810.

The positive confirmation rate — the percentage of samples testing positive for the virus — was 0.44 per cent on Saturday. This rate has been below 1 per cent for 31 consecutive days. On January 10, it had reached an all-time high for the state at 37.32 per cent.

The state’s Covid-19 recovery rate is 98.91 per cent and mortality rate is 1.05 per cent.

Bengal has nearly 20.17 lakh Covid-19 cases since the first was detected two years ago, including over 19.94 lakh recoveries and 21,197 deaths.
