Our correspondent Calcutta: Bengal on Sunday logged 222 new Covid-19 cases, 325 recoveries and three deaths.Currently, there are 2,928 active cases in the state: 2,827 in home isolation and 101 in hospitals, according to the state bulletin.

The recovery rate is 98.84 per cent and mortality rate 1.02 per cent. On Sunday, when 8,960 samples were tested, case positivity rate was 2.48 per cent.Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state recorded 21,06,524 cases, of which 20,82,136 recovered and 21,460 died. Total precaution (booster) doses administered stood at 13,284,687, 77,974 on Sunday.
