Bengal on Monday reported 117 new Covid-19 infections, 221 recoveries and one death.

Currently, there are 1,872 active cases in the state: 1,777 in home isolation and 95 in hospitals, according to a state bulletin. The state's positive recovery rate was 98.89% and mortality rate 1.02% on Monday when 5,098 samples were tested.

The case positivity rate stood at 2.30%. Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state has recorded 21,09,448 cases, of which 20,86,093 have made full recoveries. 21,483 fatalities have been recorded in the state so far. Total precaution doses administered stood at 14,546,490 whereas precaution doses administered on Monday stood at 5,800.
