Bengal on Saturday reported 461 new Covid-19 infections, 706 recoveries and three deaths.

Currently, there are 5,884 active cases in the state: 5,700 in home isolation and 184 in hospitals.

The state’s positive recovery rate was 98.7 per cent and mortality rate 1.02 per cent on Saturday when 11,209 samples were tested. The case positivity rate stood at 4.11 per cent.

Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state has recorded 21,02,008 cases, of which 20,74, 704 have made full recoveries.

21,420 fatalities have been recorded in the state so far. Total precaution doses administered stood at 11,432,812, whereas precaution doses administered on Saturday stood at 3,31,267.
