Bengal on Sunday logged 241 new Covid-19 cases, 223 recoveries and no death.

Bengal has 1,977 active cases — 1,923 in home isolation and 54 at hospitals. According to a state bulletin, recovery rate was 98.89 per cent and mortality rate 1.02 per cent on Sunday. The case positivity rate stood at 3.27 per cent on a day when 7,363 samples were tested.

Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state has recorded 21,09,331 cases, of which 20,85,872 have recovered and 21,482 have died so far. Total precaution (booster) doses administered stood at 14,543,351, with 36,378 precaution doses administered on Sunday.
