Bengal on Wednesday reported 1,424 new Covid-19 infections, 296 recoveries and two deaths.

There are 5,885 active cases in the state, 5,625 in home isolation and 260 in hospitals, according to the state bulletin.

The state’s case positivity rate was at 12.74 per cent on Wednesday when 11,176 samples were tested.

The state’s positive recovery rate was 98.66 per cent and mortality rate 1.05 per cent.

So far, 36,91,331 booster doses have been administered in Bengal so far.

Since March 2020, the state has recorded 20,27,901 Covid-19 cases, including 20,00,798 recoveries and 21,218 deaths.
