Bengal on Friday reported 472 Covid-19 infections, 775 recoveries and three deaths.

The state has at present 6,132 patients — 5,938 in home isolation and 194 at hospitals.According to a state government bulletin, the recovery rate was 98.69 per cent and mortality rate 1.02 per cent on Friday. On the day 9,842 samples were tested, the positivity rate was 4.80 per cent. Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state has recorded 21,01,547 cases, of which 20,73, 998 have made full recoveries. The number of deaths was 21,41.
