Bengal on Saturday logged 298 new Covid-19 cases, 527 recoveries and two deaths.

Currently, there are 4,081 active cases in the state — 3,928 in home isolation and 153 in hospitals, according to the state bulletin.

The state’s positive recovery rate was 98.79 per cent and mortality rate 1.02 per cent on Saturday when 8,229 samples were tested. The case positivity rate stood at 3.62 per cent.

Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state has recorded 21,04,459 cases, of which 20,78,941 have made full recoveries and 21,437 have died so far.

Total precaution doses administered stood at 12,265,499, whereas precaution doses administered on Saturday stood at 1,06,384.
