Bengal on Saturday reported 283 new Covid19 infections, 346 recoveries and three deaths.

Currently, there are 3,034 active cases in the state: 2,915 in home isolation and 119 in hospitals, according to the state bulletin.

The state's positive recovery rate was 98.84 per cent and mortality rate 1.02 cent on Saturday. On a day when 9,633 samples were tested, the case positivity rate stood at 2.94 per cent.Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state recorded 21,06,302 cases, of which 20,81,811 made full recoveries and 21,457 have died. The total precaution (booster) doses administered stood at 13,218,268. On Saturday, 1,83,276 precaution doses were administered.
