Sandip Ghosh, the controversial former principal of Calcutta's state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) after days of grilling him in connection with alleged financial irregularities at the institution.
His role in the brutal rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor inside a seminar hall in the hospital is under the lens. Calcutta high court instructed the CBI to also probe corruption charges against him.
Several interns who worked at RG Kar under Ghosh have reached out to The Telegraph Online. The allegations they made against him separately have one common thread: fear, threat, intimidation and corruption were key features of the hospital under Ghosh.
