Foresters rescue Himalayan black bear from Raj Bhawan Colony

The animal would be released in the Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary located in the east district of Sikkim

A Himalayan black bear that had strayed into Gangtok on Wednesday evening, was rescued by foresters from Raj Bhawan Colony area on Thursday.

Dechen Lachungpa, the divisional forest officer of east wildlife division of Sikkim, said the bear would be released in the Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary located in the east district of Sikkim.
