Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has taken a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his tweet on Yes Bank crisis where the former Congress president accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of destroying the nation’s economy.
On Friday, Rahul wrote on his Twitter handle: “No Yes Bank. Modi and his ideas have destroyed India’s economy.”
Shortly after Rahul’s tweet, Deb replied citing a news article where former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan has been quoted as saying that most bad loans came from the United Progressive Alliance’s (UPA) regime, and wrote: “Stop playing Yes No. See your Yes man had blamed you for the banking crisis”.
This is not the first time Deb has taken to Twitter to troll Rahul.
Earlier on Monday Rahul trolled Modi on his post where the Prime Minister said he would give up his social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
Rahul commented on the PM’s post saying: “Give up hatred, not social media accounts.”
Then Deb wrote: “So that’s the reason why Sonia Gandhi doesn’t have any social media account?”
On February 26, Deb also trolled a post of the Congress handle where the Congress tweeted: “Dear PM, You are an avid social media user; yet you found time only after three days to address citizens of Delhi. Not only is your message too little, too late but also comes only after Congress president Sonia Gandhi questioned your silence on the matter & demanded HM’s resignation.”
After the tweet, Deb trolled the Congress and commented: “Says the party whose PM remained silent for an entire decade.”
