In Warsaw, Damian Szymanski headed in a stoppage time equaliser as Poland ended England’s 100 per cent record in Group I to draw their qualifier 1-1.

Harry Kane had fired England ahead with a swerving strike in the 72nd minute. But in the second minute of stoppage time, substitute Szymanski rose well at the back post to nod in a floated cross from Robert Lewandowski as Poland kept their hopes of qualification alive.

In Kazan, Dennis Praet’s goal secured a narrow 1-0 away win for Belgium over Belarus in Group E to move them closer to qualification.

In Pristina, goals from Pablo Fornals and Ferran Torres earned Spain a 2-0 victory away to Kosovo in Group B and dragged them back into automatic qualification contention.

Fornals produced a fine near-post finish from the angle in the 32nd minute.
